Bicep Workout – They Are the Most Popular Muscles So Build Them Big Quick

Why do bicep workouts?
The bicep muscles are the most popular muscles for some odd reason. Biceps are the first muscle that comes to mind when people consider bodybuilding or workouts.
Perhaps it is because the biceps are more noticeable than the other muscles. Even when we do hand gestures to indicate that somebody is well built a muscle that we point out is the bicep. Just ask any child to show you their muscles and you will see what I mean. They show the biceps off do they not?
Ways to do exercise the biceps
You have a choice of using free weights or weight machines to exercise the bicep muscles. Both these methods will yield results if you plan you work out correctly.
Free weights in the form of dumbbells and barbells tend to produce better results overall as they require more muscles to be involved in your exercise.
Weight machines on the other hand have a tendency to isolate muscles thus concentrating on the target muscle group.
Whichever method you choose is a personal preference. What is important is how you conduct your exercises. In order to build muscle you need to sufficiently strain the muscles thus forcing them to grow. Remember strain not destroy.
The best way to ensure that you only strain your muscles is to keep track of their weight a number of repetitions you are doing. For example if on week one you are able to pick up 20 kg weights for five repetitions then in the subsequent week you would increase the repetitions to 7 still using the 20 kg weight is.
By increasing either the weight or the repetitions you will ensure that you sufficiently strain the muscles during a workout. For bicep muscles you should aim to keep repetitions to a maximum of 10 – 12 and a number of sets to a maximum of 2 – 4. Once you reach the maximum of either the sets or repetitions simply increase the weight that you are exercising with.
By following these simple guidelines your bicep workout will reveal the best results and you will be able to show off those good-looking arms.
